Lorain County Health & Dentistry (LCH&D) was chosen by the Nord Family Foundation and Rockefeller Philanthropy to implement a special patient survey called “Listen4Good.”

LCH&D was selected for this opportunity because the health center is a valued partner in the Lorain County, OH Latino community and is committed to using feedback to bring about positive change.  These changes may be in the way we make decisions, deliver services, or relate to our patients and the community.

LCH&D will offer the Listen4Good survey specifically to Latino patients who use LCH&D services at the 3745 Grove and 1205 Broadway locations, in Lorain, and during specified periods.  The paper survey contains 10 questions.  Participation is both voluntary and anonymous.  LCH&D Customer Service Representatives at the two locations will assist patients willing to take the survey.  The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.

By joining with Listen4Good, LCH&D has access to specially trained Listen4Good coaches who will assist health center staff to analyze survey results.  LCH&D will use the findings to reshape processes and make other changes to best serve our Latino patients.

Ultimately, participating with Listen4Good will help LCH&D to elevate service delivery to make for the best medical and dental visit possible for our Latino patients.  All Listen4Good programs are grounded in the principles and practices of equity and inclusion.

LCH&D is fortunate to have been selected by the Nord Family Foundation and Rockefeller Philanthropy to be a part of the Listen4Good initiative.  LCH&D is committed to clinical quality and patient satisfaction and strives in every patient visit to be the best possible provider.  The expertise of Listen4Good will help the health center to further develop and improve.

In 2020, LCH&D treated 15,251 unduplicated patients.  Of these, about 30% identified as Latino.  LCH&D values the Latino population, and all persons, and desires to do all that is possible to meet the community’s needs in the safest, kindest and most efficient way possible.
