Exercise is Medicine: Tri-C puts focus on fitness
HIGHLAND HILLS: Learn how fitness and lifestyle can improve your
overall health during Exercise is Medicine on Campus, a
free upcoming program at
Cuyahoga Community College
The event is open to the public and will take place from noon to
2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, in the Student Services building
at Tri-C’s Eastern Campus, 4250 Richmond Road in Highland Hills.
Exercise is Medicine
is part of a national initiative by the American College of
Sports Medicine. The goal is to promote physical activity and a
healthy lifestyle to help prevent many chronic diseases.
The event will feature a variety of fitness assessments and
activities on the second floor of the Student Services building.
Activities will include:
• Chair massages by students in Tri-C’s Massotherapy
• A bicep strength test using the Polar TriFIT machine.
• The VibeCage, which utilizes whole body vibration to
enhance physical therapy and sports performance.
• The VersaPulley, a muscle-strengthening training system
that mimics sports movements through pulleys and flywheel
• Cardiovascular assessments, including blood pressure
and target heart rate calculations.
